The lobby had all of three chairs for lounging, with most of the lobby filled with tables and chairs to support the sandwich stand.
Walking through the front doors lead to the hotel lobby, with the casino entrance on the left, adjacent to a sandwich stand. I was pleased to see that the facility is smoke free. The facility looked just as good close up and finding a handicap parking space close to the front door was no problem at 8 a.m. I was relieved to discover that the casino and hotel were outside the state park, so there was no park fee to pay. From I-68, Rocky Gap looks beautiful, sitting on the edge of Lake Habib. Please be advised that going west on I-70 you must change to I-68 at Hancock MD and you are obliged to do some mountain climbing west of Hancock, MD. As it was only one hour from my family reunion in the Martinsburg WVA area, I decided that my wife and I would do the reunion on Saturday and Rocky Gap on Sunday, after a night at the Knights Inn in Martinsburg. I had to check with MapQuest to see where Rocky Gap was located. I received a mailer from Rocky Gap Casino informing me that I had 15 slot dollars waiting for me.
